Fusion Designer Jewellers was opened for business in August 2008 by silversmith and jeweller, Hillary Corney and his partner Diane.

After purchasing and refurbishing the premises in the heart of Mill Street, Bideford, it was  decided to “share” the retail space with local ethical jeweller April Doubleday and goldsmith Kim Styles and a couple of other local guest designer/makers and to make the Hillary's nearby workshop premises available for their use.

Today the core business of Fusion Designer Jewellers is one-off bespoke, made-to-order commissions and hand-made designer jewellery; however, Diane also stocks “manufactured” silver “jewellery (the Boutique section of the website).

An emphasis being laid on silver jewellery which is either designed and/or manufactured in the West Country or is “ethically” traded.

In 2008 Diane became a business host for the Women in Micro Enterprise Initiative which was funded by the Community Council of Devon and much to the amusement of her partner Hillary (who complained that he had a women’s name and thus should be able to participate) and was able to draw down funding for business advice, guidance and support and personal training and development for the women designer jewellers in the group.

Diane who has a background in marketing and administration is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service. She is responsible for overseeing customer services, order processing and dispatch.
